ADAMS Sully Cub Scouts

ADAMS BSA Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girls in Traditional Scouts and Family Scouts Programs at ADAMS Sully Branch

ADAMS is currently pleased to offer its Boy Scouts of America (“BSA”) scouting programs at the ADAMS Sully location. ADAMS Cub Scouts, Boys Scouts and Family Scouts are official premiere youth programs for the ADAMS Center. ADAMS corporate owns the units and operates them directly from the ADAMS Board and Executives via leaders trained through the BSA program. ADAMS corporate is the Charter Organization, or the Organization chartered by the BSA to run all ADAMS Cub Scouts, Boys Scouts, Girls in Traditional Scouting and Family Scout programs. Via the BSA which holds a congressional charter under Title 36 of the United States Code, ADAMS scouting programs are nationally and internationally recognized. Though the ADAMS scouting program is run within BSA guidelines, the BSA does not interfere with the ADAMS Center’s operation of the programs. Chartered Organizations such as ADAMS Center run the programs under the guidance of ADAMS Governance and Imam’s office. No other committee or parent can govern the scouting units.

Please NOTE, since belief in GOD is a core requirement of BSA programs, ADAMS scouting programs are the only programs which do not allow youth to continue in the program if they don’t believe in ALLAH and don’t practice the religious rituals in and out of the program. Boys learn life skills by via scouting activities and build their confidence while instilling values of the BSA Scout Law and Scout Oath. BSA Scout Law and Oath are consistent with and are ingrained in Islamic laws, and each boy must memorize in their hearts and practice it while they are scouting. The goal is that the boys will be practicing the laws when they complete the scout program as well as continue this in their real life. Each boy must do service projects to the benefiting agency (ADAMS), community and our Nation. On average we have 6 Eagle Scouts per year, which is the highest achievement a scout can earn at the end of the program. ADAMS BSA scouting programs are also the only programs which are supported by the National Islamic Committee on Scouting (NCIS) and each boy can earn special Religious Emblems such as the Bismillah Emblem, In the Name of God Emblem and God is Great Emblem (AllahuAkbar) via rigorous activities and working with an Imam. ADAMS BSA programs are also associated with its own Muslim Jamboree. The Jamboree happens periodically every few years with next Muslim Jamboree at the time of this article scheduled from July 29th to Aug 8th 2018.

ADAMS BSA programs also provides both parents, mothers or fathers to be involved as our trained leaders in the program as long as Islamic principles, rules and regulations are followed. As an example, we don’t turn mother’s away from running boy’s programs. ADAMS BSA programs are also the only programs where we make youth protection mandatory for both parents or guardians who mingle with our scouts. No ranks advancements are allowed if the youth don’t practice youth protection with their parents as well as protection from Internet. We also develop the programs to collect and contribute money for ADAMS Operations.|
Additionally, please note that starting 2018 ADAMS BSA scouting programs will include a NEW PILOT Family Scouting program which will include in separate groups GIRLS along with Boys from KG to 5th grade. Hence, what was previously applicable to Boys only via the BSA, will NOW be available to GIRLS
as well. In 2019 inshaAllah, the BSA program hopes to expand to girls 10.5 yrs to 17 yrs in age. Please see below for further details.
