ADAMS is calling on the Justice Department to charge these three militia members with the appropriate domestic terrorism crimes they were planning to commit.

ADAMS has always emphasized the danger from and the critical need to counter all forms of terrorism and extremism, domestic as well as foreign. As we have repeatedly noted, the vast majority of terrorism and violence in the USA is done not by foreign inspired extremist groups, but rather by domestic lone wolves, by sovereign nation members, white supremacists, militias, and other home grown extremist groups. Recently all Americans have been deeply shaken by domestic terrorists such as Dylan Roof who killed 9 African Americans in South Carolina, Robert Deer who killed 4 people at a clinic in Colorado, Michael Page who killed 6 people at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin, and other such tragic events. We are all very troubled by the 355 mass casualty shootings that happened in 2015, and by the 74 school shootings in an 18 month period from 2012 to 2014, most of which were also perpetrated by deranged individual criminals.

All such violent extremism must be stopped. The Muslim community in America has provided substantial efforts to stop any kind of violent extremism, and to prevent any lost members of our thousands of communities from being seduced by groups that promote such perverted ideologies. It is therefore time for all other American communities to follow that lead, and to join in these efforts, and to stop the pernicious actions of groups that promote this unique brand of domestic terrorism. Their open hatred of those they consider and perceive as “different groups”, whether Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, or any other, destroys the very values that America stands for, and must be opposed by all who value peace and harmony in our great nation.
